HARTING Unveils Tool-Free PushPull V4 Power QuickLock Connectors

Date:

HARTING has expanded its connectivity portfolio with the launch of the PushPull V4 Power QuickLock connector, a compact interface designed to streamline power connections across industrial automation, robotics, railway, and outdoor equipment.

As industrial environments increasingly demand hardware that can be serviced quickly without specialized tooling, HARTING’s new solution leverages Han QuickLock termination technology to deliver rapid, safe, and environmentally protected field assembly.

Crimp-Free Installation for Faster Deployment

The standout feature of the new PushPull V4 Power QuickLock is its tool-free installation process. Instead of relying on traditional crimp contacts and the specialized tools they require, engineers can directly insert stripped conductors into the termination interface.

This streamlined approach significantly reduces the time and effort needed during equipment commissioning and routine maintenance. Furthermore, the new QuickLock interface is fully plug-compatible with existing PushPull Power crimp variants, allowing facility managers to replace or mix installations without needing to redesign their equipment wiring.

Robust Electrical and Mechanical Specifications

Designed to handle the rigorous demands of industrial power distribution, the connector accommodates flexible conductors ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 mm². It is available in two distinct power configurations:

  • 4-pole variant: 48 V DC at 12 A
  • 2-pole + PE variant: 250 V AC at 16 A

To ensure durability in harsh environments, the connector housing achieves IP65/IP67 protection ratings (according to IEC DIN EN 60529). Both the plug and receptacle are entirely touch-safe. Safety is further enhanced by a mechanical PushPull locking system that provides a distinct audible click when engaged, ensuring a secure connection and minimizing the risk of incorrect mating. Additionally, four coding variants are available to prevent mismating while maintaining continuous electrical contact.+2

Optimizing Compact Power Distribution

The PushPull V4 Power QuickLock is specifically targeted at compact industrial electronics where physical space and service access are heavily restricted. Ideal applications include:

  • Distributed automation modules
  • Mobile industrial equipment
  • Robotics and machinery
  • Railway infrastructure

By offering a sealed housing combined with tool-free termination, HARTING aligns perfectly with modern modular equipment concepts. Standardizing these installation procedures simplifies overall wiring complexity while maintaining the high electrical reliability required in today’s digital supply chains.
