The engineering behind this involves an innovative 8-pole Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) design. This highly focused magnetic field allows for a physical reduction in the size of the active motor parts. Consequently, NORD achieves massive material savings in the sheet metal package and the internal magnets. Furthermore, the stator is manufactured using a specialized “single-tooth winding” technique, which substantially reduces the volume of copper required in the winding head without sacrificing electromagnetic performance.
