From March 24 to 26, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre will once again become the global epicenter for warehouse and supply chain innovation. At the forefront of this year’s LogiMAT 2026—running under the theme “Passion for Details – Discover the Difference”—is NORD DRIVESYSTEMS.
Operating out of Hall 3, Stand 3C41, the veteran system supplier from Bargteheide is preparing to showcase its latest advancements in drive technology. The New NORDAC LINK: Unmatched Flexibility and End-to-End Functionality
A major highlight of the exhibition will be the newly upgraded variants of the NORDAC LINK decentralized frequency inverter series. As warehouse automation becomes increasingly complex, seamless network integration is no longer optional. To address this, the new NORDAC LINK comes equipped with onboard Ethernet, allowing the frequency inverters to plug effortlessly into existing digital infrastructures.
Furthermore, NORD has placed a massive emphasis on operational safety. The units can be integrated into fail-safe applications via PROFIsafe or FSoE protocols. The inverters feature a robust suite of drive-based functional safety protocols—including STO, SS1-t, SS1-r, SLS, SMS, and SSM. By utilizing safe digital inputs and outputs, operators can connect fail-safe peripheral components directly to the drive, significantly reducing wiring complexity.
Performance also sees a major boost. Thanks to the advanced CFC open-loop injection method, the NORDAC LINK enables precise, encoderless control of high-efficiency permanent synchronous motors, even in highly dynamic applications. Functionally, this wall-mounted unit perfectly mirrors the motor-mountable NORDAC ON, giving system engineers a modular, end-to-end decentralized drive electronics framework for both asynchronous IE3 and synchronous IE5+ motors.
LogiDrive: Modular Drive Systems Built for the Future
This advanced drive-related control architecture plays a foundational role in NORD’s LogiDrive solution space. LogiDrive provides standardized, modular systems that neatly combine the motor, gear unit, and decentralized electronics into a single, low-maintenance package. These solutions are tailor-made for the heavy demands of the post and parcel, airport, and automated warehouse sectors.
NORD is offering two distinct pathways within this ecosystem:
- LogiDrive Advance: Built for maximum energy efficiency, this configuration pairs the NORDAC LINK with an ultra-efficient IE5+ synchronous motor. It delivers exceptionally high performance across varying speeds and load ranges, allowing facilities to reduce the number of drive variants they need to stock.
- LogiDrive Basic: Designed as a highly cost-optimized alternative, this setup utilizes the NORDAC ON alongside an IE3 asynchronous motor. It provides operators with a compact footprint and impressive power density for standard intralogistics tasks.
